The 475ml pot has a hinged handle that flips over the fitted lid and locks it in place, making it perfect for carrying food or other items inside.

Perfect for needs
The pot is exactly right for cooking set up which is includes the pocket rocket and fuel canister which fit perfectly inside the one litre msr pot. I previously used a jet boil but have found this set up suits just as well with a bit more flexibility for cooking alternate stuff. The pot cleans really easily, my only criticism being that it is not as light as more expensive models and the snap handle that locks the lid in place rattles slightly when locked down.

Its a stainless steel pan with a locking lid, it doesn't claim to be dual use. There are other products in the market that fulfill that need. This one fills the need for a pan with a locking lid, which is great for storing food in ready to cook. I use it on single night trips saves faffing about with plastic packaging. Same high quality as all my other MSR kit.

Poor design
Didn't buy this pot as it's a poor design. The lid is not dual use. It is simply a lid. Why is it not multi functional as a pan to? Expensive one use item. Pointless.
I have the full set. Great design i even use them at home. You can use them for storing food in the fridge as well as cooking when camping. The folding handle keeps the lid firmly in place. Bombproof.
