Does what it says in description, great sun protection, fantastic quality is clear to see and feel, and kept its shape well when traveling. Bought for my dad, he’s very pleased.

Was it worth the money? Well I couldn't find another hat as stylish, as light or as smart so I had to have it!

Tilley have a good reputation but I looked around before deciding to buy one. Well made hat, lightweight, good sun protection. Glad I bought it.

Been put off buying one for years due to the price but they are a fantastic hat - fit, style, quality. Finally bit the bullet and bought one - not disappointed. Still not sure they are worth the price though!

A very comfortable hat. Comes with ingenious cord system to ensure it stays on your head even in windy conditions. This is my second Tilley hat; I had my other one for about three years then lost it -- unfortunately outside the 2-year "replacement if lost" guarantee that Tilley offer on all new hats.

I have 2 of these hats, and from first putting each on I have to scream out loud they are the most comfortable hats I've ever worn, and brilliant in all weather conditions - and with such absolute style and quality too.
Expensive ? Yes ! But you get what you pay for, and in this case, these hats are definitely the Rolls Royce of hats.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I bought a Tilley hat after having tried a friend's. Go Outdoors staff were most helpful and knowledgeable, especially regarding the fit. Tilley advise a loose fit, with the hat kept secure by the straps. After much discussion I decided to ignore this and bought a size that felt normally comfortable. Having since worn it on several extremely hot days I am happy to report that is comfortable and secure (albeit on a very windy boat trip I was pleased to use the straps!) and keeps its shape well.

Bought the tilley after much pressure from my son who has had one for a few years .I am delighted with mine and although expensive is worth the money .Son is jealous as his earlier one now discontinued does not have a tilley tab on the back .

I bought a new Tilley to replace my last one which was well over 20 years old and had been around the world. The new one fits like a glove and shouldn't shrink if it gets wet.
While site seeing in The Canaries I was tapped on the shoulder and asked "is that a Tilley you're wearing". We are still firm friends after many years.
Hopefully some honest person will read the postcode in my old hat and return to my previous address.

Great Hat

I do a lot of water sports, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, narrow boating. Last week we had force 8 gusts and heavy rain. The Hat stayed on and kept my head dry. In the afternoon I had to drive a planing fast boat. So the wind was combined with driving into the teeth of it at 30mph. The Hat still stayed on. The next day was still windy but the sun shone. I am a bit of a ginger and burn easy but all was good. The tops of my ears remain unburned.

Bought this for Summer use but having done some research its pretty good at keeping the rain out as well. Lightweight and breathable. You can get it into shape so you dont feel like your wearing a cheap floppy hat. I'm pretty self conscious when it comes to wearing headwear but I got the thumbs up from my daughter, so I must look okay wearing it.

Excellent product , great in the summer

Excellent, cool comfortable hard wearing and stylish. Great for hot summer days, will buy a heavier one for English winters.
It is my 3rd Tilley hat, would not consider any other brand.

Great snorkelling hat. Just back from two weeks in Sri Lanka and this hat went through everything including wearing it whilst snorkelling. It got really grubby with the dust on safari's. Just got it out of the washing machine - good as new. It's a really comfortable fit and the sweat band soaks up a lot without feeling uncomfortable. Expensive but worth every penny.

Tough, comfortable, practical. Keeps the sun and rain out of the eyes, And breathable enough to be comfortable on a typical English summer's day. Really does stand being squashed in the bottom of a bag, and comes back to shape.
Too cold to touch for winter use, which is why I also have a Tilley wool hat.
